Hessinger Law was established in 2005 after Tim left the State Attorneys Office after serving as a prosecutor for 15 years.  While serving as a prosecutor, Tim was a member of an elite unit that prosecuted major crimes. Tim handled some of the most highly publicized cases in the Tampa Bay Area. During the last eight years of Tim's career as a prosecutor he was solely responsible for prosecuting all of the child murder cases in Pinellas County along with other high profile cases that garnered major media attention. Tim developed a reputation as a tough but fair lawyer  who zealously prosecuted each of his cases.

Since Leaving the State Attorneys Office in February of 2005, Tim has used his many years of experience as a prosecutor to successfully defend hundreds of criminal cases. Since 2005, Tim has continued to handle some of the most publicized cases in the Tampa Bay Area achieving superior results for his clients. 

The success of Hessinger Law created the need for another attorney who has vast experience with both criminal law and with the dynamics of the State Attorneys Office. Donald Kilfin, an experienced criminal law attorney who served for 6 years as a prosecutor was the perfect fit to fill this need.

Donald Kilfin is a 9 year lawyer who has handled many complicated and high profile cases, including several murder cases where the State was seeking the death penalty. 

Both Tim and Don have developed an outstanding reputation with Judges, prosecutors, and criminal defense attorneys while practicing law in the Tampa Bay Area. They are known for their meticulous preparation, courtroom tenacity and outstanding results.
