Police Academy Instructor, Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy – State of Tennessee March 1989 - November 2000
Academy Instructor was responsible for training police officers for city, county, and state agencies in the state of Tennessee. Instructor was also responsible development management of many police subjects. Primary duties included DUI Instructor, defensive tactics, physical training, firearms, patrol tactics, and traffic accident investigation. Instructor has personally trained over 6,000 while assigned at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy.

State Trooper, Tennessee Highway Patrol - State of Tennessee - July 1984 - October 1994
Trooper was responsible for enforcing the laws of the state of Tennessee, with emphasis on traffic laws. Other duties included: Investigation of accidents, preparation and prosecution of court cases, promotion of highway safety, and maintenance of equipment. These duties overlapped with the academy assignment during the last five years of THP assignment.
