Borsberry concentrates his practice in criminal, juvenile, traffic and family law matters. Joseph Borsberry has vast experience with criminal and divorce matters throughout Central Illinois, and has handled hundreds of divorce and criminal cases. From the simplest traffic ticket to a murder charge, Joseph Borsberry 15 years of experience working for you. He has extensive trial experience in state and federal court throughout Illinois. In 1995 he joined the firm of Reynolds, Murphy, & Associates, P.C. in Peoria where he became a partner, specializing in family and criminal law. Joseph M. Borsberry subsequently opened his own office just steps from Peoria County Courthouse where he continues to focus his practice in family and criminal law. He also has experience with externships with the Cook County Public Defender's Office, the Illinois Attorney General's Office, and with the Honorable James A. Knecht, Appellate Court Justice for the Fourth District Appellate Court. He is a former C JA panel attorney in federal trial and appellate courts. Joseph M. Borsberry has volunteered time to Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, Prairie State Legal Services, and the Peoria County Public Defender's Office representing incarcerated criminal defendants. Joseph M. Borsberry has lectured on numerous criminal and family law topics.
