After serving the people of Pinellas County for six years as a prosecutor and then representing persons injured as a result of the negligence of others at Beltz & Ruth P.A., I opened my own office to provide my client’s with hands on personable representation. I strive to apply the more than 12 years of training and experience that I have obtained through my years of practice in Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay Area.

As a sole practitioner, you will be speaking and dealing with me directly. I will not hand your case off to an associate with little or no experience in the courtroom. When you call my office, you will be speaking with me directly. Your phone calls or inquiries will be replied to promptly. I will be the one going to court for you. I will be the one speaking to the prosecutors, insurance adjusters, insurance defense attorneys and the judges about your case.

Whether a person is charged with a crime or has been the victim of personal injury, it is an anxious and confusing time. I make it a point to make time for my clients and to thoroughly explain the litigation process to them from beginning to the end. Throughout the process I believe it is important that you are kept informed. I make it a point to schedule face-to-face meetings to thoroughly review the discovery (police reports, witness statements, depositions, etc.). I encourage my clients to ask questions and I strive to answer them thoroughly and honestly.

I believe that the best attorneys are those who do their homework and apply their knowledge and experience in representing their client’s. I strive to be thoroughly prepared through research and/or keeping up-to-day on the law. I make it a point to attend continuing legal education seminars on the law. I use the computer research program Westlaw which has some of the most up-to-date information available regarding case law and statutes. My office has access to the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS). This system allows me to be able to access your case in a matter of seconds. CJIS allows me to instantly know information such as where your case is in the process; which prosecutor is assigned to your case; whether the State has filed charges; and what the charges are.
