Former Judge and Texas DWI Defense Lawyer, David S. Hunter began practicing law in 1990.  He has recently left his judicial bench and established a private Criminal Defense Practice with a focus on defending those accused of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and other alcohol-related offenses. As a Judge he has gained a unique perspective as to how best to defend those accused of DWI.

Judge Hunter has devoted himself to the study of drunk driving defense. He has attended, participated in and lectured at numerous Advanced DWI Legal Seminars across Texas and the US. Judge Hunter is a Certified Breath Test Operator of the Intoxilyzer 5000 and owns his on Intoxilyzer 5000 machine. David Hunter is also a Certified Instructor of the Police Sobriety Tests known as Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST). He has even attended the prestigious National DUI College at Harvard University.
