• Jointly appealed and established the precedent setting right to catalyst fees before the California Supreme Court (attorney’s fees for causing a defendant to change an unlawful policy or practice as a result of being sued where the case was resolved other than on the merits by the court);
• Tried and won a race discrimination class action on behalf of County Police officers for discrimination in wages and benefits against Los Angeles County, resulting in a unanimous verdict and award of $150,000,000.00 (damages and present value of injunctive relief); and
• Settled an overdetention class action against Los Angeles County for $27 million.
