Firm Overview

The law office of Shawn Dominy represents clients charged with criminal offenses and traffic offenses.  Mr. Dominy has years of experience handling these types of cases, from speeding tickets to murder.  He has represented hundreds of clients in central Ohio courts.

Goal.  Mr. Dominy's primary goals are to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients in every case, and to ensure that our clients are treated fairly in the court system.  To achieve those goals, Mr. Dominy conducts factual investigations, legal research, negotiations, motion hearings, and trials.  Shawn Dominy's office utilizes modern technology for research, communication, and case management to provide legal services in an efficient manner that is convenient and effective for his clients.

Goal.  Another goal is to remove some of the mystery and anxiety associated with the court system.  Mr. Dominy realizes that many people do not understand the law and how the court system operates, and he understands that being charged with criminal and traffic offenses causes anxiety for his clients.  He hopes that, by explaining to his clients the law and the operation of the court system, he will relieve some of that anxiety.

Client relations.  Shawn Dominy's office is client-friendly.  You will find that Mr. Dominy speaks in plain English and simplifies situations that often appear more complicated than they need to be.  Mr. Dominy is accessible, despite being in court nearly every day.  By being in court nearly every day, Mr. Dominy maintains professional relationships with judges, prosecutors, baliffs, defense attorneys, and other court personnel.  Mr. Dominy is also involved in professional organizations including local, state and national associations for criminal defense attorneys.

Location.  The law offices of Shawn Dominy is conveniently located on 500 West Wilson Bridge Road, Suite 110.  This location allows Mr. Dominy to practice in Columbus, Delaware, and throughout central Ohio.  While most of Mr. Dominy's cases are in Franklin and Delaware County, he occasionally represents clients in other central Ohio courst as well.  MAP.

Fees.  Clients are offered the option of being billed by the hour or by the project.  Some clients prefer the hourly billing so they know that they get exactly what they pay for.  Other clients prefer flat rates so they know exactly how much the legal services will cost.  With either billing method, a retainer is paid before representation begins.
