The Firm, VICK, CARNEY & SMITH, L.L.P. , was founded by Gabe Vick (father of Tom Vick) in 1958.  Our law firm is part of the past, present, and future of Weatherford, Texas . Our offices are in a renovated opera house across the street from the historic Parker County Courthouse. Our lawyers and our staff have been with the law firm for many years.  Our firm has continuously provided full legal services throughout Texas including the counties of Parker, Tarrant, Wise, Jack, Palo Pinto, Hood, and Johnson, and the cities of Weatherford, Fort Worth, Arlington, Granbury, Decatur, Mineral Wells, and Azle.  Our clientele represents all segments of the community.

Tom, a State Bar director, has chaired all of the family law organizations in Texas:  Former Family Law Section Chairman; President, Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists; American Academy Matrimonial Lawyers (Past President, Texas ; Treasurer, National Executive Committee).  Tom has been honored in Best Lawyers in America since 1993 and is a former Weatherford Mayor and Weatherford Independent School District trustee.  

Dan holds an AV rating, the highest that can be achieved under the Martindale-Hubbell national attorney peer reporting system.  He was twice elected by Texas attorneys to Chair the Attorney Grievance Committee for the surrounding ten county region.

Mac also holds the prestigious AV rating, is also a past Chairman of the Regional Grievance Committee and is immediate Past President of Weatherford Independent School District Trustees.
