The law firm of Gannett & Associates was established in 1989. We serve our clientele in the Boston area and greater Massachusetts in the areas of bankruptcy law and commercial collections, and defense litigation on behalf of businesses, lenders, insurance companies, and third party administrators.

Richard W. Gannett is licensed to practice in Massachusetts (1982) and Illinois (1981), and is admitted to U.S. District Court in both states, all federal courts therein, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Massachusetts Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.

Prior to opening his law practice in Boston, Richard W. Gannett handled high-end litigation in bankruptcy and banking more than four years at a Chicago law firm. Undaunted by the inevitable avalanche of paper in litigation, Mr. Gannett is adept at cutting through the smokescreens and getting his point across to a judge or jury.

Personal Service and Prompt Action

Mr. Gannett meets with every client, and attends to all legal matters personally, along with his staff. Clients have direct access to an experienced trial lawyer. He can take on new cases on short notice.
