Thornton & Rothman was established in 1980 by founding partners John W. Thornton and David Rothman, after they served as prosecutors in the late 1970s. Both of the partners investigated and prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including drugs, sexual battery, homicide, economic crime, and one of the largest racketeering prosecutions ever brought in the state of Florida. Using the broad and extraordinary experience we gained as prosecutors, we founded a firm dedicated solely to criminal defense, offering our clients the most powerful representation we are able.
