Social Security Disability, Military Law and Workers' Compensation Lawyers

The law office of Alan E. DeWoskin, P.C. is a family-owned firm providing high quality, personalized legal representation to individuals, families and businesses in St. Louis, Missouri, and the surrounding area. Our practice areas cover a broad spectrum from criminal defense to divorce to estate planning. However, we also place a special emphasis on military law, workers' compensation and Social Security disability.

Our attorneys have practiced law for a combined total of more than 40 years and both come from military backgrounds. Alan DeWoskin, the founder of our firm, is a retired colonel who served in the Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps.

As a result of this significant experience, our attorneys are exceptionally qualified to assist military personnel and military families with their unique legal needs. This representation ranges from defending clients going through courts martial to assisting retiring personnel with pension applications.

Workers' Compensation Lawyers

Our attorneys have extensive workers' compensation experience and have successfully represented people injured in a variety of professions including long-distance truckers, office workers, factory workers and emergency services personnel, among others.

Social Security Disability Attorneys

Attorney Alan DeWoskin has an outstanding record in handling Social Security disability claims. This can be largely attributed to his thorough knowledge of the law and meticulous attention to detail when preparing and defending claims.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:
Comfort Level - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
Credentials - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
Cost - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
City - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?
