Law Firm Overview

Our firm commenced operation as the Law Offices of Albert R. Pincus in 1951. The name was later changed to Pincus & Solomon in 1979 when Michael D. Solomon joined the practice. Mr. Pincus subsequently retired in 1985 and Mr. Solomon has continued with the firm at its present location ever since. Over the years, the firm has expanded its practice to include all aspects of civil and commercial litigation in New York, Florida and Pennsylvania. The majority of the firm's practice focuses on Family and Matrimonial Law, Personal Injury Law, Real Estate Law, Business Law, and Landlord & Tenant Law.

Michael D. Solomon, the principal of the firm, has actively litigated cases for over thirty years. He has tried hundreds of cases in both the State and Federal Courts. He has also argued appeals in the Appellate Division of the State of New York and the United States Circuit Court of Appeals. During the course of his career, Mr. Solomon has represented clients in thousands of real estate transactions, including nationally recognized lenders in mortgage closings. The firm currently represents large Homeowners Associations in the State of Florida.

Daniel J. Herrera has been an Associate Attorney with the firm since September of 2006. Mr. Herrera has a wide array of experience from his work as a criminal defense attorney and an Associate Attorney with two insurance liability defense firms in New York City. Through his experience, Mr. Herrera is able to ensure that careful attention is given to each of the firm's clients which range from individuals to businesses in all of the jurisdictions where the firm provides legal services.

Susan A. Rubin is of counsel to the firm and offers an extensive amount of experience in family law and matrimonial matters. Using her exceptional writing ability, she has authored many appellate briefs, trial memorandums and motions for the firm.

The firm also employs four experienced paralegals who have collectively been affiliated with the office for over fifty years. Our staff has full knowledge of all court procedures and transactional requirements. They also possess a keen knowledge and understanding of the law. Like the firm's attorneys, our staff always stands ready to be of assistance to our clients.

The firm prides itself in the quality of work and individual attention that is provided to each of its clients. From the moment a client walks into the office for an initial consultation, an attorney will take the time to sit down with them and discuss their problem, the options available, design an appropriate plan to resolve their predicament, and aggressively carry it out. Throughout this process, the client is kept abreast of each and every development so they have the information needed to monitor the progress of their case and make an informed decision about it.

The firm recently updated its office technology to better serve the client. Each attorney, and the rest of the firm's support staff, has an email address and the ability to electronically submit reports, letters, bills and invoices. A large amount of the firm's cases are billed on an hourly rate which is fair and competitive and all of its personal injury cases are handled on a contingency basis. Nevertheless, depending on the type of case, the firm is willing to be flexible and adapt our fee system to accommodate the client.
