The firm of Hacker & Murphy, LLP, formerly known as Cusick, Hacker & Murphy, LLP, was formed by principal partners James E. Hacker and David R. Murphy, to offer high-quality legal services. Hacker & Murphy concentrates its practice in commercial and civil litigation, real property tax assessment, and legal counseling to professionals.

Drawing on the extensive experiences of its principals, associates, of counsel members, and staff, the firm handles a wide range of litigation and commercial matters, including complex litigation involving environmental claims, products liability, and municipal issues.

Throughout New York State, the firm represents corporations, insurance carriers, municipalities, self-insured businesses, and individuals. James E. Hacker is a former partner in the law firm of Maryland, O'Connor & Smith. David R. Murphy is a former partner of Lee & LeForestier, P.C. The firm has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
