Valsangiacomo, Detora & McQuesten, P.C. was established in 1977 in Barre, Vermont. The firm concentrates in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, malpractice litigation and commercial litigation. The firm also engages in commercial and residential real estate, corporate transactions, probate and estate planning and environmental proceedings.

ORESTE V. VALSANGIACOMO, JR. is a native Vermonter. He received his Bachelor's degree from St. Michael's College in Burlington. After three years in the U.S. Army, Mr. Valsangiacomo obtained his Juris Doctor from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. He joined the firm at its inception in 1977. Mr. Valsangiacomo was chairperson of the Vermont Lottery Commission for four years. He is a past member of the Barre City Elementary School Board and Spaulding High School Board.

LEIGHTON C. DETORA was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston. He has been with the firm since 1977. Mr. Detora is currently a Member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Director of the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association, member of the Vermont and Washington County Bar Associations. Mr. Detora is also a member of the Lamoille County and Stowe Town Democratic Committees, is a Justice of the Peace, is on the Stowe Board of Civil Authority, is a member of the Ethics Committee of Copley Hospital, Morrisville, Vermont and is a Director of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Vermont.

GARY D. McQUESTEN was born in Montpelier, Vermont. He received his B.A. from the University of Vermont and his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. Mr. McQuesten has been a member of the firm since 1980. He is former President of the Washington County Bar Association, former member of the Board of Governors of the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association, and he was a Director of the Barre Country Club, serving as its Vice President for two years.

WILLIAM B. FIELD was born in Montpelier, Vermont. After attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (B.A. 1963), he graduated from Georgetown University Law Center (LL.B 1966), where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review in 1966. After two years in the Peace Corps, he practiced in Massachusetts for three years and in Chelsea, Vermont before joining the firm in 1991. Mr. Field was a member of the Vermont House of Representatives from 1977-1981, has served as Town Moderator, Planning Commission member and Deputy Fire Chief in the Town of Chelsea. Mr. Field's practice is focused on commercial and residential real estate, business transactions, estate planning and probate.

L. BROOKE DINGLEDINE was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in New Jersey. She received her B.S., summa cum laude, from Virginia Commonwealth University where she was a Phi Kappa Phi Scholar. In 1994 she earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law, magna cum laude, from Vermont Law School and was Member and Notes Editor for Vermont Law Review. Ms. Dingledine served as Law Clerk to the United States Department of Justice - Environmental Enforcement Section and is admitted to the bar in Massachusetts and Vermont.
