FRED B. GOLDBERG, an experienced trial lawyer, heads the litigation section of the firm. A graduate of the University of Maryland and the John Marshall Law School of Chicago, Mr. Goldberg began his legal career in the federal government as counsel to the Special Assistant to the President for Consumer Affairs. He was responsible for establishing and directing that office's inter-governmental litigation project. Mr. Goldberg left the White House in 1979 to become General Counsel to the District of Columbia Office of Consumer Protection. Since entering private practice in 1982, he has served as lead counsel before state and federal courts in matters ranging from personal injuries sustained by victims of negligence and defective products to complex commercial and economic disputes. He has been admitted to the DC, MD, NY, and Supreme Court bars. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Governors of the DC Trial Lawyers Association.
