Law Firm Overview

In 1999 the firm successfully relocated to the Highlands Ranch Business Park in Highlands Ranch, Colorado (population 90,000), a southern suburb of metropolitan Denver. I am a sole practitioner operating as a professional corporation (P.C.). My office is staffed with an experienced legal assistant, Betsy Brown. Most accounting functions are outsourced to my paralegal, Peggy Schroeder. My practice emphasis is on Corporate issues, Construction Law, Homeowners' Associations and Real Estate, and Estate Planning. My litigation (civil only) preference is that of plaintiff and defense in state courts. I am active in the business community as past Board Chairman for the Highlands Ranch Chamber of Commerce. I also maintain membership with the Castle Pines and Castle Rock Chambers.

My civil litigation experience includes the Federal District Court, Bankruptcy Court, state and federal regulatory agencies, and the Colorado court system (District and County Court) having appeared in 17 Colorado counties. I own Business Arbitration Resources, Inc. established for purposes of alternate dispute resolution (ADR).

The Mission Statement of the firm is to:

• Serve as legal counsel, advocate and business consultant to small and mid-sized companies from formation to maturity, addressing a wide variety of corporate issues for benefit of the entity, the shareholders, directors and officers.
• Provide value through a quality product responsive to the unique needs of each client, applying technology and over 30 years of professional experience.
• Respond to the individual client in like manner in the areas of corporate law, real estate, construction law, and estate planning.

My office is located in a single floor professional building, with ample free parking, in the Highlands Ranch Business Park, a center of corporate business for northern Douglas County. It is less than one mile from access to C-470, exit Lucent Boulevard or exit Broadway. The "470 Corridor" is the rapid growth area for national corporations along the southern rim of the Denver metropolitan area. The office is 16 miles due south of central Denver and approximately 40 minutes from Denver International Airport. It is centrally located for the courts in Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson Counties.
