Maria Cognetti is a Vice President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a past president of the Pennsylvania Chapter. She is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Cognetti has played an active role in shaping Pennsylvania's laws as well, having been a past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and more recently, the chair of a custody committee which was instrumental in creating the Commonwealth's new custody law.
