OUR PRACTICE

The Law of ROLEWICK & GUTZKE, P.C. provides legal services to the general public in a broad area of civil law. Our attorneys regularly handle matters in DuPage, Cook, Kane, Will, and Kendall counties, and represent individuals and businesses throughout the State of Illinois. Our attorneys have also been admitted to practice before the Federal District Court, the Federal Court of Appeals and the United State Supreme Court.

More specifically, we provide complete legal and counseling services in the following fields:
1) Business and Commercial matters, including: incorporation and all related start up procedures; acquisitions, mergers and sales of entire businesses or portions thereof; commercial real estate acquisitions or sales; shareholder agreements and stock redemptions; financing; employer/employee relations; property or equipment leases and contracts; formation and running of general or limited partnerships and limited liability companies; tax planning; retirement planning; creditors' rights in bankruptcy; shareholder and partner disputes and litigation; duties and liabilities of officers, directors and shareholders; collection of past due or disputed accounts; and commercial and contract litigation in both state and federal courts.

2) Banking matters, including: loan documentation; collection and security recovery; regulatory compliance; residential and commercial mortgages; creditors' rights in bankruptcy; mortgage foreclosures; duties and liabilities of officers and directors.

3) Personal matters:

 a) Estate, Tax and Financial planning, including: counseling clients in how to best accomplish their life goals with the resources available; preparation of Wills and all forms of Trusts; income and estate tax planning; preparation and counseling with regard to Living Wills, Health Care Powers of Attorney, and Designations of Guardian(s), as well as the many types of planning vehicles available to transfer assets and designate beneficiaries.

b) Probate and Guardianship Estate matters, including adoptions and alleged incompetence cases.

c) Real estate matters, including: sales and purchases of residential or commercial property; like-kind exchanges; property leases; foreclosure of commercial and residential properties; issuance of title insurance policies for owners and/or mortgages; claims against title insurance companies; eminent domain and condemnation; landlord/tenant disputes, rights and duties; neighbor disputes; shared use agreements; annexation, zoning and development.

d) Personal Injury claims and litigation, including employment related injuries.

e) Malpractice claims regarding all professions, and litigation with regard thereto, including prosecution or defense.

f) Property Damage claims and litigation.

g) Probate and Estate matters, including: guardianship of minors and disabled persons; Will contests; transfers of property, and collection of insurance.

h) Employment discrimination and other types of employment problems, including: restrictive covenants and noncompete agreements.

i) Bankruptcy and Reorganization.

j) Traffic tickets and ordinance violations. including: DUI, speeding tickets, driving while license suspended or revoked, and other misdemeanors and felonies including assault and battery.
