Chatham Damare Pittman roots Tallahatchie date back to 1932 when Gerald Weissinger Chatham, the father of Gerald W. Chatham, Sr. opened his law office in Hemando. The Law Firm has been at the same location since 1952 with several expansions and remodeling phases. The elder Mr. Chatham was District Attorney from 1941-1955 and was the prosecutor in the infamous Emmitt Till trial in 1955, in County Mississippi.
